Des politiciens honnêtes?

Y-a-t-il des politiciens honnêtes? A mon avis, il y en a surement quelques uns surtout au début de leur carrière. Ils ont alors des grandes idées philantropiques et généreuses mais peut-être sous la pression de leurs collègues, qui sait, ou simplement en raison de la bureaucratie et de ce phénomène qu'on appelle inertie ou  l'état des choses stagnantes, rien ne change ou difficilement. Peut-être la solution c'est de ne pas devenir politicien mais activiste indépendant..Qu'en pensez-vous? 

Indirect object pronouns

Moto électrique

First you need to understand the difference between a direct object and an indirect object.

Observe those two sentences:

1 - J'ai dit à Pierre de me contacter.... I told Peter to contact me
2 - J'ai trouvé Pierre très fatigué..........I found Peter very tired.
In sentence number 1, between the verb and Pierre, there is a preposition, à so Pierre is an indirect object
In sentence number 2, between the verb and Pierre, there is no preposition, so Pierre is a direct object.
The indirect object pronouns are the same as the direct object pronouns except for the 3rd persons, singular and plural
lui = him/her
leur = them

Exemple
J'ai donné ma moto à mon voisin.
Ah bon, pourquoi tu lui as donné ta vieille moto?
Elle marche bien mais je voudrais m'acheter une moto électrique.
Ah je vois! C'est mieux pour l'environnement!

Direct objet pronouns

Pronouns replace a noun or a phrase containing a noun which is not the subject of the verb. Use them to avoid repeating a noun or a phrase. Here is a list of the direct object pronouns. Remember that they come before the verb.
me (m' before a vowel) = me
te (t' before a vowel)    = you
le (l'  before a vowel)   = him/it
la (l' before a vowel) = her/it
nous                         = us
vous                         = you
les                            = them (for people or things)

Les adverbes de manière

How to form an adverb can be a challenge. To make it more fun, why don't you invite your students to try the 'painting brush'.  Though during the game, a few adverbs seem to appear a bit too often, the whole process allows the rules to sink in, as they say!
Reminder:
While in English adverbs are formed by adding (-ly) to adjectives. In French many adverbs are formed from adjectives, simply by adding the suffix –ment to the singular feminine form of adjectives. Examples:

Lent (slow) becomes lentement (slowly)

Parfait (perfect) becomes parfaitement (perfectly)

Some words are adverbs by nature. For example:

Maintenant (now), vraiment (really), and bientôt (soon) are all French adverbs.
